Aloha Sentosa Virtual Run

When we think of ‘Sun, Sand & Sea’, aloha Sentosa, it is! Pristine beaches and state-of-the-art attractions aside, the popular island getaway has hosted many local & international sporting events. While mass outdoor events are still very much restricted for obvious reasons, virtual activities of sorts offer avid outdoor goers another platform to unwind.

Aloha Sentosa Virtual Run only needs our participants to complete either a 5KM or 10KM run anywhere in scenic Sentosa. You can choose to run on the path parallel to the famed beaches or the idyllic nature trails. Simply clock your run result on your GPS device and submit it to the link provided to earn your well-deserved finisher medal. The event tee is an add-on option.

When your run is finally done & dusted, stay back to enjoy the many exciting activities Sentosa has to offer. Did you know there are FREE attractions in Sentosa? Walk on the 11-storey high Fort Siloso Skywalk for a panoramic view of the island and visit Singapore’s last remaining coastal fort from our wartime past. Also not to be missed is the Magical Shores at Siloso Beach with its magnificent medley of light and sounds when dusk descends. There’s never a dull moment in Sentosa. Bring along your family and friends to enjoy a great time together too!

Self collection is FREE. You will be notified on the schedule to collect your entitlement once they are ready. Kindly drop an email to info@ideas-room.com for enquiry or to make arrangement for a revised collection time.
Entitlement will be ready for collection after the end of event*.
Alternatively, you can choose for a postage delivery to your registered address at $2 per delivery.
There will be no refund after registration has been confirmed.
The registration rate excludes 6% of payment gateway and processing fee.

* To reduce wastage and support sustainability initiatives, please note that the entitlements are only sent for production after the end of the event (at the end of that particular month). An email will be sent out to your registered email when the entitlements are ready for collection.

This is a Virtual Race which means you can choose any route to start your run. However, this route needs to be on Sentosa Island. You need to have a GPS-tracking running app and if you don’t have one, please download your preferred app.

Track your route and ensure you have completed the run
Submit it on your given profile
Verification will be handed at our backend

FAQs

1. How many race categories are there in this virtual run and is this a competitive race?

A: There is only one race category and it is 5KM. No, it is not a competitive race and therefore, completion timing is irrelevant. The whole intent is to enjoy the scenic view of Sentosa during your run. However, the minimum run distance of 5KM must be completed and captured on your GPS device. There is a submission link for your run result after you have signed up.

2. Do I need to do one run and the venue has to be in Sentosa?

A: Yes, just one run will do and the period to complete the run is from 1st May to 31st Jul 2021. As for the run venue, it has to be anywhere in Sentosa.

3. When and how do I receive my race entitlement?

A: There are two options to get your race entitlement after the run. You can arrange to pick up at the office or request to be mailed to you by normal postage. There is a postage charge of S$2 for the latter arrangement. The race entitlement will be ready for self-collection or mail out in the second half of Jul 2021 till end Aug 2021.

4. What is in the race entitlement?

A: A unique finisher medal and E-Certificate are part of the race entitlement. The event tee is an add-on for S$12 if you wish to have one.

5. Do I need to pay entrance fee to Sentosa?

A: No, all visitors to Sentosa enjoy free entrance until 30 September 2021.

6. Can I run with family members and/or friends?

A: Yes, you are most encouraged to get your family members and/or friends to join you for the the run and thereafter, stay back to enjoy the many attractions in the island. However, please observe social distancing and keep the group size to 8 only. Remember to mask up after the run.
